For the love of the game.
The Sacred Hearts Tournament exists to bring together all of our Christian communities across the Emirates. Under one banner, on one pitch, through the game we all love.
Catholic, Coptic, Orthodox, Malankara, Mar Thoma, Armenian, and beyond. Different churches, different traditions, one shared celebration of faith and sport. Thirty-two church communities compete across a single floodlit evening in Dubai: group stages, knockouts, and a Final under the lights.
Participation is by church nomination. No public ticketing. Just the communities, the game, and one trophy.
Organised by MSquare Tournaments · Founded by Manasseh Baby John & Milan Mathew
Every team is guaranteed three group matches. Then it's win or go home.
8 groups of 4, drawn from all 32 churches. Full round-robin, with three guaranteed matches per team across two floodlit pitches running simultaneously. Top two from each group advance.
Round of 16 through to the semi-finals. Single elimination, straight to penalties if level, one-step kicks from the spot. VAR in operation from the Round of 16 onwards.
Extended to 10-minute halves under the lights. Two communities, one trophy, and the first name etched into Sacred Hearts history.
An 8,400 AED prize fund across four honours.
This tournament is governed by its communities. Every participating church holds one seat on the Sacred Hearts Council, a 32-member body that stands as the accountable institution behind the event.
One seat per church. Nominated by your own community: a priest, youth leader, or senior parishioner. Every seat is equal.
Full transparency. The Council has complete visibility of the operational plan, venue, and logistics.
Collective oversight. Serious concerns are escalated to the Council collectively, not just to the organisers.
No extra cost, no advantage. Every church pays the same entry. The Council is a responsibility, not a privilege.
Confirmed members of the registered church, aged 16 to 45. Each player must present a valid Emirates ID and official church directory proof at registration.
Your church coordinator contacts MSquare Tournaments via WhatsApp. Once confirmed, your team selects a jersey colour, submits a squad list, and nominates a Sacred Hearts Council representative.
10 players maximum: 7 on the field plus 3 substitutes. Rolling substitutions are unlimited throughout the match.
Registration at 2:00 PM, first kick-off at 3:00 PM. The Final takes place at approximately 10:45 PM with the prize ceremony at 11:15 PM.
